Everyone had worked so hard over Christmas ) which now seems a very distant memory) that we decided to have ANOTHER outing! Oh yes Count Einhorn really IS that generous. We all trouped off to The Apollo Theatre to see Camille O'Sullivan. For anyone who hasn't seen her perform, go! She is fantastic, really dramatic and a fabulous singer. She sings Nic Cave, Bowie, and Tom Waites songs amongst others, all favorites in the workshop. It was a good night out and the exquisite look of pain on Einhorn's face as he forked out for each round of drinks was a wonder to behold!!! Ha ha, A lovely bag of chips and then home, a perfect evening.
Thank you!

Dear All

I have been wearing the bracelet for the past week and I have to say I am over the moon with it, the beautiful construction was well worth the wait, a bit of good old English craftsmanship at its best, as I said when I first ordered it I wanted the ability to change the straps depending on the mood I am in, Saturday was a blue day and Sunday was a red day etc etc.

Again 10 out of 10.

Kind regards

John

I know its a bit late.... we have been so busy I have not had time to share with you all our very happy Christmas memories! We were the busiest we have ever been and that is in 15 years! Amazing and all down to a huge amount of hard work and attention to detail from all our really amazing staff and also to you DEAR CUSTOMERS!!!!! We feel a little bit like U2 who also know, that without their fans they would all be flying economy class!
Anyway for your amusement I will be uploading our Christmas photos. We had a fantastic time, we all went to The Zetter Hotel in Clerkenwell, where we were treated like royalty and where you can get some of the best cocktails in London. The food was fabulous and the evening was only blighted slightly by the fact that Estella fell over in the restaurant in full view of everyone, claiming that she was not drunk but had just 'slipped'. She always has to create a scene wherever she goes! Designer Einhorn ignored her but as he is so kind, eventually offered to see her home, he is such a gentleman!

This was our shop front on Monday. It was so exciting that the photographer was shaking hence the slightly out of focus picture...It was so romantic! When we had a moment (which wasn't often) we stood and gazed out of the window and watched various members of the public flying by on the ice. It made a change from watching people banging their heads on the shop window, yes it IS made from that hard see through stuff called glass...Why?
Some poor old man fell over and the lovely shop ladies rushed out to help him, made him a cup of hot sweet tea and phoned his son to come and pick him up. The next day he came in to say thank you and bought them a beautiful bunch of flowers, how very lovely!

I am still seriously considering commissioning a like piece with fangs… I will be in contact soon about this piece.

Thanks again and have yourself a great day!

I don't know about the tea and biscuits all around - but a pint or two might do rather well instead...

Kirsty, Sarah, Bethany,

I received my charm today and found it to be absolutely perfect. The scarf engraving was of excellent quality and the piece was better than I could have imagined. The packaging was also unique and in keeping with the brand image. It's a one-of-a-kind gift that will be well received.

Thanks to all of you for your courteous, prompt and outstanding service. Although this was a very small order, you treated my order as if it was the most important to you. It was greatly appreciated.

I look forward to purchasing from you again and will wholeheartedly recommend Stephen Einhorn to my friends. Please pass along my compliments to Mr. Einhorn for his great products, terrific staff and great service.

I wish you much continued success.

Yes we had a mountain of UPS parcels on Monday 21st of December, so many in fact that to get them out of the workshop we set up a human chain. it was the first time for many days that some of the elves had seen daylight so they were happy to help! Our glamorous Claire was recreating American Beauty (sort of) only we actually had customers in the shop or naturally she would have taken all her clothes off! We had so many parcels to send out yesterday that some bright spark commented that we could actually cover a person in them! On our next biggest UPS posting day we are going to try and cover more people, oh what larks! I love Christmas!!!!!!

We had some rather lovely customers in our shop recently, who we made a rather special ring for. They were kind enough to send us a couple of pictures in situ......I was rather worried about the Christmas tree that seemed to be listing dangerously sideways in the backgound, or are they standing on a slope? I'm not sure but what a handsome couple they are AND what a lovely ring! So if congratulations are in order, congratulations from all of us at Stephen Einhorn. x

Oh lordy its always a bit of a shock when the weather changes. You know its going to happen, you expect it, but when it comes......Fortunately the heating is working in the workshop, the office is freezing due to designer glass, (Designer Einhorn has to have light to create) I sit here communicating with you dear friends wrapped in blankets...and not because I am in bed! The shop is beautifully warm with the lovely scent of flowers, almost like a summers day, a beautiful place to while away the hours looking at special precious things, and every now and then Einhorn pops his head round the door, which is simply a ray of sunshine!

23/11/2009

Well Christmas has started and already everybody is stretched to breaking point! That's the trouble with not making mass produced 'objets'. When we are busy we are REALLY busy! I try to boost morale and have been gathering the workshop together for a little sing song at lunchtimes, with such numbers as 'Oops I Did It Again' and 'Toxic'. Oh how we laugh! I like to accompany everyone on my trusty squeeze box and I think they really do appreciate it... I can tell by the way everyone rushes back to the bench as soon as the last note fades. I do like to help! I think with a little bit of encouragement I may be able to get Designer Einhorn to accompany me on the spoons.....

Could be a new nickname for you know who... The postmen and women are still in 'talks' so we do not know what fate the usual Oxfam Christmas cards will receive this year, a bonfire in a depot far far away? Oooh don't, it's too sad! I know this is not really the place for political commentary but what will happen if the post office is broken up and sold? Oh come on you know the answer to that! It will become too expensive to send letters and then the fantastic art of letter writing and card writing will die. Think about it! You can't put an email on your mantelpiece at Christmas. What will happen to the wonderful Round Robins from competitive relatives? Without writing letters and cards our children will become uncouth and rude with no one forcing them to write thank you letters on Boxing Day, oh it makes me shiver...
Postal Strike!
30/10/2009
Estella
Oh my lord the postman and women are still on strike! I feel sympathetic but it is having a huge impact on all Christmas shopping from sites that use the Royal Mail. We usually get so busy from now on that ALL christmas purchases have to be done online. The service we give is not affected as we ONLY use courier services anyway, but how will I buy Lord Einhorn his yearly gallon bottle of Eau Sauvage? He gets very antsy at this time of year as his usual copious supply begins to dwindle, I think he may be an addict...

I wish I could actually come to England to do my shopping~
Summer ?
28/09/2009
Estella
Well is summer over? Is it? I don't know except the leaves are all crinkling up slightly and my legs are damn cold! We hope all have had a good summer, and everyone is settling into 'big School' without too much trauma. Designer Einhon and myself snuck over to Spain for a little bit of 'inspiration' artistic of course! One has to stimulate the designers mind or it becomes stale and then we all get upset...I of course wanted to go and hang out with the 'crims' in Marbella but Einhorn was having none of it, so we ended up in Cadiz and Jerez, eating mega amounts of fried food, all served in teeny weeny portions, honestly the spanish must be starving most of the time? Still it was all good fun and apart from having to look at a load of old buildings, I for one enjoyed myself. Now need to start looking out the woolens, just hope the moths have controlled themselves this year!

To all at Stephen Einhorn,

The ring arrived safe and sound and I couldn't be happier with it. The diamond is fitted beautifully and the engraving is perfect. The actual proposal date is not until next month, so I will let you know my girlfriend's reaction then. Let me add though that from my first phone call the service you have delivered has been absolutely brilliant. Through the course of the order I must have spoken to everyone in the shop and all have been charming. I also made a brief visit to choose the diamond I wanted and again, you could not have been more helpful.

Thank you for everything, I'm certain there will be more purchases!

You wouldn't believe how much self-discipline it took to not open a package, that although not addressed to her, had her name showing through the receipt on the front for the engraving i had requested.
But finally after two days on her return to Macau she finally got to rip to shreds the packaging to find to beautiful engraved silver swallows.
As for me, after rumaging around the floor in the reminants of the package i finally stumbled across an absolutely stunning Titanium/Silver GEO Elipse ring which will be slid onto my finger in two weeks by the beautiful woman with the Swallows in her ears.
Thanks to all. Will be wanting more soon.

It has come to my attention that because Lord Einhorn designed a pendant for the cast and crew of the pilot episode of the HBO series True Blood, we now have a number of new customers who are all fans of the series. This does make me fairly glad that we close our showroom before dark, not that any of us have anything against Vampires but.....scary! We have yet to see the series here as as far as I know it hasn't reached our shores but APPARENTLY Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer are an 'item'. Oh lord we've gone all tabloid, help! Their party was at The Charles Lamb, Elia Street a most excellent pub should anyone be passing... Designer Einhorn and myself were fortunate enough to be invited, L'Einhorn was very excited to see his handy work in situe. All in all a magical night.

Have wandered past this shop for years and years, daydreaming about getting something nice and chunky and now have the perfect excuse (not that one is necessarily needed!) with our impending civil partnership.

Kirsty, who served us over several visits, was absolutely charming, patient and helpful and we are so absolutely thrilled with our beautiful Times Square rings it's actually quite hard waiting for the day to come so we can wear them. Having scoured a million websites and shops in search of the perfect wedding band we didn't see anything that even came close to them.

Thank you so much for a brilliant service (so rare nowadays) and beautiful rings we will treasure forever.

He lost in in the garden about 5 years ago and has refused to wear anything since. Anyway, this new one for his birthday is more beautiful than I remember and looks like it will fit perfectly. The skull and crossbone earrings arrived today. Let me start off by saying I stumbled on your store
Staten Island New York
The skull and crossbone earrings arrived today. Let me start off by saying I stumbled on your store website a few years ago. I was looking for a skull and crossbone earring. At that time all you made were the skull and crossbone pave studs. Not exactly for a man. However your design was so unique and beautiful I bookmarked the page. Now a few years later I was checking your website and came across the skull and crossbone small studs. I ordered them in 14k white gold. Your staff was courteous, friendly and very professional. I was a little nervous because I live in the United States and I was afraid that they might not be exactly what I wanted when they arrived. Let me tell you they were everything I wanted and much much more! Not to small and not to big, just right! I absolutely love them! I knew all those years I looked on your website that your items were unique and different works of art! Although being a shopper from the United States and due to the exchange rate they were a little pricey, it was worth it. Why have something everyone else has and not love it? Sometimes you make a purchase and are not 100% satisfied with it. This was one of those purchases that I am so happy I did it. Well, my wife did it for me. These were my fathers day gift. Glad it wasn't the kind of gift that ends up buried in a drawer. I will always love these earrings. Thank you guys for a gift that will be always treasured! I will highly recommend you to my friends and family.

Here she is our very own Linda being made a British Citizen!!!!!! We have nurtured her throughout the process. We introduced her to Marmite very slowly of course just slipping a little into her tea now and then, and putting a touch on her cornflake, before the full blown Marmite-on- toast experience. She now drinks tea at every opportunity and is an absolute expert in the delicate and secret art of tea making. We are so proud. She loves digestive biscuits, she moans a lot, and now her favorite topic of conversation is the weather, she has become a true brit!

Having just received my new Skull Ring I would like to thank everyone at Stephen Einhorn for the way in which my order was handled from start to finish.
The ring itself is superb and the information I received regarding it's manufacture, and ultimate delivery, was 100% correct and a credit to the company.
Their response time in replying to my e-mails was exceptionally good, and again they provided accurate information.
If all the companies in the U.K. were as well run as this, especially some of the High Street names, there would be nothing to complain about !!
Congratulations to all, and thanks.

My wife and I were looking for wedding bands and fell in love with the designs at Stephen Einhorn. We put off ordering until it was very close to our wedding date, and then we found out that we would have to wait to have the design hand made. The staff took this into consideration and provided options as to what they had in the store room that was similar to what we wanted. They took this a step further and offered to let us use the ring for the special day, while at the same time building the design that we originally ordered, and to swap them out when it was complete. But that's not all, they shipped the ring from London to Louisiana in three days! The quality of the ring speaks for itself, and I expect it to last forever, however they have also gained a customer for life!

Ok Ok OK She's still gorgeous! Unbelievably she is now one month old! She has the look of a child much older. She looks to me like she's saying, "Look, Dad, just chill out, I'll smile for the camera and then let's just let that be the end of the posing OK?" She is wearing a lovely christening bracelet made and especially engraved for her, by the Count and his wife. I know, I know, we have shown you this before but we have never had such an experienced and sweet model.
Thank you

Hi

I just wanted to let you know that our rings arrived this morning & we are both delighted with them.

I would also like to say a big thank you to your very efficient team who have responded to all of my queries promptly. We will have no hesitation at all in recommending you as & when the opportunity arises. It is so rare these days that you get excellent service that exceeds expectation, hence I felt the need to drop you a few lines.

We will say another thank you when we have our commitment ceremony in San Francisco in July!

Best Regards

Yes even discerning horses from the 'horse community' love Stephen Einhorn. So if you fancy a little jaunt in this rather pleasant spring weather, why not trot up on your pony? We have a convenient lamp post outside the shop for tethering...

Oh I'm so bored, I hate you, you bore me...
Do I?
I'm bored of this life, bored of the streets, bored of the posters, the lights are boring me...
You should, write, writing is creative, to be creative is the meaning of life, create something...
Or we could live in the country, the country is real, we could eat potatoes, I could paint the air, the sun..
Air is boring... I want to die...
Before you die would you wear this ring? This ring? Yes ...Oh I think I could actually, Diamonds are not boring... But you are dull, so could I just have the ring? Maybe?
Heavy Sigh....

My that Fireman has large feet! What I love best about him is he is obviously so proud of his bracelet that he wants the whole of Paris to see it, and is deliberatley posing in order to show it off, Oui, Je suis 'vachement cool"

So The Designer and I are strolling around Pareee, having one of our 'special weekends away' (I have no idea what he tells that dreary women he is married to but it's not my problem) When I was caught up short by some rather large pictures of young men in uniform draped over the austere walls of the Palais de Justice. I can never resist a man in uniform so I tugged on The Designers arm to pull him closer. Thinking that we might be hurrying back to our hotel he responded immediatly. As we drew close The Designer uttered a small cry for there, in front of our eyes was a Sapeur Pompier de Paris wearing none other than OUR very own Bone Bracelet Can this be true? Oh yes Parissienne Fireman not only are handsome, brave, and very tall they also have very good taste!

We are absolutely delighted to welcome the first Stephen Einhorn baby into the world! She is the first baby to be born to someone who is actually working here, (we have had other babies, born to friends who have worked here etc, but not one as current as this!) Oh yes we did raise an eyebrow when Tushar had to rush home on Wednesday, because his wife was feeling 'unwell' and four hours later here she is! She is absolutely gorgeous, and we are all desperate to see her and give her a cuddle. She is being called Kuhoo (the sound of an Indian cuckoo) at the moment until her parents can decide on a name. I believe in this picture she is 2 days old.
I have also just been told that her name is going to be KASHVI which means 'Shining' and you can see why from the picture.
If they ever want to go out they will have at least 12 willing babysitters!

What a cutie! I shall have to get my knit on.

And so much prettier than Parisian babies!

Just because their mothers all wear heels and smoke Gauloise does not make them glamorous. I was in the park but yesterday and a baby dressed from head to tiny toe in Chanel sneered at my muddy trainers.

'So common,' It's eyes said, 'I don't even have to walk around, ensconced as I am in my designer parambulator, while there you are, muddied and wind-blown.'

Then it was sick on itself. Who's laughing now?

Recently I went to Paris with 'The Designer' who was looking for a bit of inspiration and had a few contacts that he needed to squeeze?! The weather was gorgeous, we strolled along Rue Saint-Honore and ended up just 'hanging' in Coletts. They have some very cool gadgets which I immediately wanted to own but alas Von Einhorn wasn't having any of it (stingy). I was just leaning against the wall in a sort of very London cool way like oh-we-have-all-this-in-London-too-yeah? When who should creep in silently as if he was not quite human but Karl Lagerfeld! OH-MY-GOD he is so strange, he looks exactly like all the pictures you ever see of him including the big white stiff collar. Why? Does he have a neck ailment? Maybe he has no neck muscles so he wears a cunningly disguised neck brace? Who is he trying to kid? Karl there are literally tens of people with bad necks, let it all hang out, come on! Be proud of that neck. Anyway, I stayed leaning on my bit of wall (very cool) and watched as he whispered discretely to a sales assistant. Everyone else tried not to listen, whilst trying to look cool AND French in the presence of his greatness. Yes he was looking at a MOBILE PHONE. Celebs like him don't need to ask obvious questions like "how much?" So there wasn't really a lot to overhear. Lord Einhorn naturally noticed nothing as he was deeply ensconced in some book on design...honestly.
I'm NOT fat!!!!!!!!

Yes we did it again. We made some fabulous emergency cufflinks for someone who just happens to work at Green and Blacks, which is the workshop chocolate of choice. As a Thank You we were sent a rather lovely pile of chocolate mmmmmmm. So as I nibble on another piece of the delicious brown stuff I find myself perusing the elasticated waisted trouser section of the Lands End cataloge (oooh so comfy so convenient!) Designer Einhorn will start casting his eyes elswhere if I carry on! Or he might even take a bit of notice of his wife, Fat chance! ha ha ha

Is that oak panelling I see? A 3D shop sign? A buzzer?

Mon Dieu!

I sit in my Parisian garret surrounded by nothing but imitation SE jewellery crafted from tin foil. I arrange baguettes in the shape of the counters and sculpt customers from lumps of camembert. It is just not the same.

Some days I sidle up to the counters in the boutiques along the Champs Elysées and pretend to serve people.

Voulez-vous á voir une bague de fiançailles?

Until they throw me out onto the street. Parisians can be so rude...

Check us out! Posho or what! This is our 'new look' to match with our website. We are now a people magnet, they just can't keep away those general public people. We regularly have to wipe the glass down due to excessive forehead leaning. ( I'm not joking! its a new phenomena ) One little old lady was so entranced by the beautiful things in the window that she banged her head really hard on the window. She looked at me as if it was I that had done it. I popped my head out of the door and asked her if she was ok, she was luckily. It's not a new invention this glass stuff you know.

Brrrrrrr Absolutely freezing! Our shop renovations are moving slowly forwards. There has been a slight halt to the work due to adverse weather conditions (wimps) The actual front is done now and we have a FANTASTIC new shop sign, it's FANTABULOUS. So as long as we break out the fingerless gloves and make copious cups of hot sweet tea, with biscuits, the rest of the building work will be finished soon. Honestly if I have to hear one more story about how icy it is and how hard it was to get to work, and how DANGEROUS it was getting out of said driveway.......

How Wonderful!

We had 2 very lovely ladies in our shop this Monday. They had flown especially from San Francisco to buy their wedding rings from us. How brilliant! We ( I ) made them a lovely refreshing cup of our English tea and soon, ( with tongues loosened by the elixir of life,) they told me how the proposal was done. They said I could put it on the blog. So as to preserve anonymity we will have Lady A, Lady B and Friend C.
Lady A decided it would be wonderful to put Lady B through a gruelling but short Triathlon course and at the end of it she was going to place a ring in a plaster heart from us, with a big sign saying WILL YOU MARRY ME? Friend C runs a company setting up short Triathlon courses, so was asked by Lady A if he would pretend that he had a new course that needed to be tried out and would Lady B do this for him? Oh and yes would she ask Lady B along as well? By this time I was thinking to myself that if anyone wanted to propose to ME in this way they could keep their ring! Anyway all went to plan, the day dawned, they both did the gruelling, and much harder than they thought course, picking up clues, and a lot of sweat, along the way for the next task. Finally right at the end, completely exhausted, they ended up at a high point in a park in San Fran where Lady A had covered up a sign with the words, WILL YOU MARRY ME? on it. Lady B turned to Lady A and said, why does Friend C want to marry me? How strange? Oh Ha Ha ha... Friend C is also a man! Anyway all went well and she had her ring presented to her in a plaster heart that we had sent all the way from the UK. I think this is a very romantic story (apart from the exercise and sweating bit) And if you read this Ladies and you send us a photo of the moment we will send you a present!

To the Team at Stephen Einhorn,

I felt it necessary to write to you regarding the service and communication I have received from yourselves while working with you to design and create my bespoke charm (Order No. GE3733 ˆ Unicorn engraving on a large disc with a blue sapphire stone for an eye and "M" on the reverse).

I am a regular guy; not the best at choosing jewellery for someone else. In the end I plucked up enough courage to design an image to put onto a charm that represents the special someone for whom it was for. I was expecting this to be a nerve racking experience because I knew that if it didn't turn out well, then I obviously wouldn't be able to return the charm, bearing in mind it could cost a lot of money. I was very nervous!

A lot of doubt was going through my mind at this point.

However, I was very lucky to have discovered your shop. I cannot praise you and your staff enough for the consistent professional service I received and the quick responses I was given to my emails and phone calls.

I was put at ease straight away as to the process I would need to go through to have a bespoke charm created by you. I was probably not the easiest of people to work with because I'm sure I sent more than my fair share of emails every time I had a thought or concern. However, you were all very patient and extremely welcoming. It seems you are very well organised since anyone I spoke to instantly knew what was going on from looking at my records.

In the end, everything went very well and I am ecstatic about the result; as is my girlfriend! Despite the tight time schedule I had given you, I was informed the charm was ready ahead of schedule. This was a nice surprise in itself; not having to worry about whether the charm would be ready on time or not.

It has been an absolute pleasure to have worked with you and I can easily imagine calling on your services in future. I have already recommended you to a friend who is looking to have a bespoke charm made for her daughter.

Some of the people I would like to mention who I had correspondence with during this process were Bethany, Kirsty and Lisa.

Finally I'd like to thank the team in the workshop for creating the charm and producing the end result which was exactly as I had imagined it. I'm sure the result speaks for itself on the Monday evening when my girlfriend and I picked up her surprise. The look on both of our faces said everything!

I cannot thank you enough for your efforts.

However, as a token of my appreciation, I have just dropped off a box of chocolates to your shop for you all to share. I hope there is enough for everyone!

Yours sincerely,

Punit

These are a lovely box of choccies that a customer gave us! We felt very very spoilt, and we would like to say from everyone here a big THANK YOU!
We did however have to put an armed guard next to them as they were left in the work shop for all to share, a deadly mistake........
Well Done!

Well just as I predicted our fabulous Lily has just got a distinction in her Masters!!!!!! She is a very clever girl, and I myself have to breath a sigh of relief as I believe I said something about eating jewellery which I think would be really quite hard and even slightly dangerous? And yes children it was only a joke and not to be attempted at home.

Hi there,
In the general organising of everything for our forthcoming wedding I have totally neglected to thank you for making the ring (titanium with Thames wood band) for Ian Lovett. It is exactly perfect for Ian (and he has very exacting standards, so it’s a real compliment!), fits him precisely and he is totally delighted with it. Thank you also for your helps in the stealth purchasing so that I was able to pay for it and have it delivered without him seeing the payment details. We were also impressed with the presentation, which sets the ring off beautifully. We promise to take good care of it!
Best wishes,
Sarah

I just wanted to say that I received the cuff links today and they are fab!
Exactly what I wanted. They are a wedding gift for my fiance for our wedding next February-not sure I will be able to keep them that long though as I know he will love them.

I will be recommending you to all!

Well lookee! This is our present window display. We think that if all else fails, sit down and have a jolly good cup of tea. This is a cure all for many ills and works every single time! We have found a fantastic collection of cups and saucers, (including a cheasy Charles and Di) I did want to put in biscuits but everyone convinced me that we might be encouraging an ant invasion which MIGHT not be a good thing. The window will change and evolve as we get closer to Christmas but not yet.........

We are very sad here because Lily has left us!!!!!!! She has gone to live in Paris for a year the lucky so and so! Yes and I know she was dedicated to you dear Patrons but she is actually trained to do other things as well as run our showroom. She has actually just done an MA in Applied Drama and if she doesn't get a first I WILL EAT MY EARRINGS! Consequently she is working with French Schools to teach French children English. However we may be able to lure her back for the last week before Christmas when it will be all hands on deck.
Mark is back from Brazil, and is very kindly helping us out for a little while as we have been so busy, before moving on to pastures new!
Well we have been crunching our credit, interesting times that we do live in! We will be having several new Destinee and Dirk storys soon, so keep your eyes peeled.

Dear Magic Craftsmen at Stephen Einhorn,
Thank you for the fairy charm and chain you sent , which arrived safely yesterday. I loved the whole eco-packaging and delightful gift-tag , as well as appreciating the fine quality of detailed workmanship and humour of the jewellery.

This little souvenir of my wedding for my toddler flower girl is perfect. I have also suggested to a new grandmother , who mused her grandchild should be called ( Starlight) Tinkerbell , that she might also wish to consider this charm, as a little "Hello World" gift !! Grateful thanks , Ali.

Hi. I wanted to let you know immediately that the bracelet arrived safely today. It's perfect - it's the right size and it looks great.

Thank you very much again for all your kind and courteous help and for the great job. I've liked Stephen Einhorn designs for a long time - cool with a hint of anarchy or humour - and I have a couple of things I got years ago - but now I also really appreciate your friendly service. Especially thanks to Lisa, Kirsty and Sarah.

Hi there

I just wanted to let you know how thrilled I am with the pieces that I have ordered from you recently. I have bought charms for my two young daughters and cufflinks for my husband-to-be as presents when we get married next year. The fact that they are not mass-produced makes them extra special and they really are lovely.

This very beautiful women has won a fabulous ring from us! Help a London Child held a ball and we gave away a Certified Diamond for a competition called 'Diamond in a Glass' The idea was that all the guests would buy for £25 a champagne glass with a 'Diamond' in the bottom. One of the glasses would have the real Diamond and all the rest would have Zircons. We were very worried about making the eventual ring from a Diamond that had passed through someone's lower intestines ( if you know what I mean) but we were reassured by the organisers that the guests would not actually use the glasses to drink out of! Silly me!
Any way this is the lucky winner. Her ring is worth £2175, not bad for a £25 raffle ticket. We raised a large sum on the night through ticket sales all of which went to help a London Child's various projects.

What a lovely sunny day... Shame we are all stuck inside making you jewellery when we should be gambling up and down Primrose Hill in the sunshine! Anyway we have had 2 very nice letters from 2 of our local primary schools that we always support. William Tyndale Primary School and Canonbury Primary School. We gave both of them jewellery to raffle at their summer fairs. Both schools raised a good amount of money, Canonbury are using the money raised to upgrade their playground. We don't know what William Tyndale use their money for ( drinks for the teachers? Only joking!) but I'm sure its for a very good project! So well done to all.

Hello,
I just wanted to say thank you so much for making my present to my now husband so special. The heart travelled well to Cuba (it was so well packaged though) , and I had it placed on our table before our wedding meal. My husband was a bit perplexed to start with as to what to do with it, but loved the fact that he had to smash the heart to find his cufflinks! We have kept all the little pieces of the heart, and they are now in our wedding memories box. Thanks again for all your help in making it extra special!

Lord Einhorn and myself have just come back from an investigative trip to Mexico, Guatamala and Belize. I took designer Einhorn away as his love of 'Neighbours' was beginning to drive even I completely mad! To compound the tedium further, the story lines on the Archers had become so dreary that I needed to take him away from all forms of media in order to preserve his creative juices which were being sapped from his large brain.
We met some wonderful people, making incredible things with such skill and dedication it was a pleasure to watch them work. We made a few contacts and hope in the future to bring some of them to your attention. There will definitely be some new ranges appearing soon.
We got back to find that Stephen's wife had been completely buried under a large pile of seed catalogues and no one had noticed! However, Einhorn had slipped away by telling her that he was just going to the shops and luckily, while she was otherwise engaged, she didn't seem to have noticed that he'd been gone for a month. Talk about self-obsessed!

Dear All,

Hope you dont mind me sending this but have recieved the order & am truly delighted as a result. The gift was for my Wife & her reaction was quite overwhelming! The whole design, package, customer service was second to none. They breakable heart is the work of a genius!!

I know you dont need to know but the bracelet was a wedding anniversary gift (now 16 years) & the idea behind it was that I (the 'n') gave my heart (obvious!) on the 9th of July (9) to my cinderella (the pumpkin). It had special significance as my wife sometimes feels she is nothing special & just an ordinary woman when she will always be my 'cinderella princess'. To find her a gift that expresses this is truly remarkable.

You can take a chance when ordering online but your website is kinda kooky & the customer service immediately put me at ease. Thankyou so much. The craftsmanship is fantastic.

My special thanks to the creator (not him above! but him in the workshop!)

I hope to use & recommend your uniquely superb services again.

Thakyou so much.

Regards & thanks,

Nick.

Well just a little note to let you know that Noel Fielding has just come second in GQ'S list of best dressed men in Britain. We knew that! The first person was Daniel Craig (who he?) who I believe has no chin but no one but me has noticed! We are busy busy busy at the moment what with spring being in the air etc. Our Saturdays in the shop have become like Marathons as we are sooo busy, but we love it, and we love you! x

So now you know, Noel Fielding is the best dressed AND sexiest man in the universe according to NME readers! Not only that but the Mighty Boosh has won Best TV show, so congratulations from us. Of course he really owes his best dressed award just ever-so-slightly to Monsieur Einhorn as he is wearing one of OUR rather fabulous Skull rings! (Eyes to the right). Here is a lovely picture of him (damn he's SO good looking!)

He also has a MAGNIFICENT nose. It is all in the nose you know: poise, humour, intelligence etc. Just take a look at other successful people. Lord Olivier, Richard Burton, Angelica Houston, Fanny Craddock, all in the nose. Next time you look you'll notice it, mark my words. Not so unlike Lord Einhorn in the nose department actually, he too has a magnificent schnoz. I'm going to try and encourage L'Einhorn to sport a fur collar just like Noel and maybe some eyeshadow? Rockin!

My eldest sister, Andrea, lost her 20 year battle against cancer on New Year's Eve, 2007, aged just 39. My Mum ordered me a 'Splinter' necklace with the words, 'This, here now, is all we have' as a special Easter gift. This was Andrea's mantra as, with the help of a very dear friend, she found sound-healing of great benefit during her last few months. The necklace means the world to me. It is as beautiful as was my sister. Thank you - everyone, so very much.

One team in contemplative mood.
For our Christmas treat we all went to the Bloomsbury Bowling lanes. As there are quite a lot of us we were all split up into teams and then the fight was on! Except one of our members had forgotton to mention that she is actually a champion bowler! She kept really quiet during the planning stages and at no point mentioned that she had ever even handled a bowling ball. Is this cricket? No it's bowling! Ha ha... She thrashed us all. The darts team were left whimpering in a corner, their manhood completely in tatters. The Ladies screamed so loudly that some of us lost our voices. We all had a really good time although the eye rolling and heavy sighs from the bar staff everytime we ordered a round of drinks threatened to push me to the edge, it was of no consequence, I merely laughed, you can't break my spirits! Never! So all in all a very good night.

Hello to all and a very HAPPY NEW YEAR! Let's hope its a good one full of peace on earth etc etc, although judging by the news this is not going to happen anytime soon! We all had a great Christmas, extremely busy thanks to you our dear, dear customers. We were all run ragged and had to clock up a few 12 hour days ( yes really!) Online was the busiest ever and the shop was heaving! We made some really lovely mulled wine and generally kicked a bit of retail arse! No one became overcome with Christmas spirit, although the potato vodka supplied by Kristjan on Christmas eve pushed Designer Einhorn pretty close to the edge. My new years resolution is to try and stop using so many exclamation marks on the website! Damn failed already!

I am late in conveying this message, but wanted to express my appreciation for the fantastic level of service you provided.

I was most impressed with the personal attention you provided, despite the item in question being relatively small and of relatively low value.
I appreciated Charlie calling me directly to let me know of the delivery arrangements, and allowing me to change the delivery address to my work address so that I could have the item signed for, and then for Lisa sending an email outlining the manner I could track the parcel via the third party courier service.

It is so very easy to complain over poor service, but I was really appreciative of the fantastic customer service you both provided, and wanted to express that to you both.
I am aware of other people who are going to be ordering charms through your website, and I have ensured that I told them of the excellent service I received.

Once again, many thanks

We will be releasing their names shortly along with their stupendous and very imaginative 5 winning designs. Also we were very happy to donate two 18 carat Gold rings, one with a large Diamond to the fund raising Archant Press Ball where we helped raise £1500 for help a London Child. We also donated some Pearls to The Stroke Assosiation's fund raiser 'A Night at the Opera' Ball and they raised £400..result!

Naturally with residing in Northern Ireland, I used the web/internet to conduct the business and have to say that it was as good as physically being in the shop!! Lily responded almost immediately to my questions and queries via e-mail and nothing was too much trouble. Courteous, friendly, enthusiastic and so I could go on - all too rare qualities in shop staff these days.
Many thanks, Lily.

After the loss of Alistairs wedding ring, which apparently managed to work its way off his finger whilst changing gears on his bike, the shop has managed to make him a new one and get it to Sydney in time for our wedding anniversary.Thankyou so much!
It is now stuck very firmly on his finger and says, funnily enough, it feels like a noose around his neck.
oh the joys of marriage.
Thanks again for all your help (and wit of course). We shall all look forward to the time when Alistair comes in again to buy me copious amounts of jewellery! All the best, Kate

Ruth and Kristian have decided to embrace the Amish way of life ( although they are not a couple, how wierd is that!) They have decided to generate their own electricity using a little pony called 'Timmy'. All jewellery that they manufacture will be done with Hide hammers and thier own fingers, oh and Kristian now smokes a pipe in keeping with his people. Ruth thanks God everyday for the invention of Luxury Goods and Fine Jewellery!
Hello Again!

Estella
Well hello! It has been very very quiet here on the blog.
We have been too busy to stop for a while smell the daisies and contemplate life in all its glory!!!???? However I have sneaked away and thought I would write a few lines.
Designer Einhorn the cheeky man has had all his locks cut off which personally I think is a mistake, but his lovely wife (who we know all about?) thinks he looks much 'tidier'. I wish sh'ed be a bit 'tidier ' and tidy herself away permanantly but hey ho! ( You might not hear from me again if she gets to read this, however I think I'm quite safe as at the moment she thinks she has discovered a brand new way of preserving Pot-Pouri and is completely taken up with the project)
We have loads more staff members which is great but we havn't had time to put them up on the website yet but we will soon so that you may see them in all their glory. Check out Destinee and Dirk there is a new video and its fab!!!
What fab service and extra special rings!

When couples choose their Wedding and Engagement, Civil Partnership or Commitment rings from us, we are always dying to know what "The Big Day" was like. How did the rings look? Who ate all the cake? ( you?) And most importantly, who slow danced to ‘I’ve had the time of my life’?

Are you simply in love with your Stephen Einhorn jewellery?
We would love to include pictures of you, our fabulous customers, wearing our jewellery or using our products. If you have any photos you would like to share on our Blog, please email them to info@stepheneinhorn.co.uk

Check them out! yes one of our customers sent us these pictures of his Skull taps in situe. How cool are they? Very! And look at that bath, it looks amazing, like your tiles Christopher. This customer sent this email all the way from California, isn't technology a wonderful thing? In the old days he would have had to send a horse, and let me tell you that horse would have been worn out! Anyhoo I digress, Thank you for sending us this picture, we are proud that you like our taps.
A Little Bit Of Information

Jane
Well its very nice to see all those photos (except I'm not sure where that one of Stephen was taken I certainly don't remember going anywhere near the sea recently?)
Anyhooo I thought it would be interesting for you, dear readers for me to give you a few handy tips that MAY be interesting to you. I have found that to remove limescale from bathroom taps vinegar can be very useful. Also if you want to clean your silver jewellery and you do not have a polishing cloth to hand, you can use washing up detergent (the cheapest kind) and a very very soft toothbrush. It can bring your jewels back to life! Marvellous. One last tip, I find that gardening at this time of year is very cold so if, before you start you put old newspapers inside your coat it really keeps the cold out!

Yes every now and again Monsieur Einhorn or 'My Liege' has to go and commune with nature in order to bring you his latest creations. I beleive it was this moment exactly as he gazed into the sky that he thought of the new 'Blue Bird ' designs.

Oddly enough this is a different time and a different pub. Krystjan is from Ishland, land of ice, hot springs, fish that has been peed on and Bjork. He is a very welcome addition to' House of Einhorn'. We thought we should show him a good time in ye olde englishe pub, we tried to initiate him into our ' World of Darts' ( We have a bit of a Darts league in the workshop, and at the moment Monsieur is winning, see last blog) but he already was waaay ahead, who would have thought? Darts must be big in Iceland.

Designer Einhorn has an unfair advantage over his workers as he lines up this shot, (his eye is a finely tuned instrument to space and line) My advice to Ross is always to let him win otherwise he can become moody and petulant!

This cake looks innocent, but it is not! It is drenched in Kirsch, with huge succulent black cherries that melt in your mouth. Estella
Well it has been an eventful christmas for us! Our new shop is nearly finished except we are STILL waiting for the back door and wall to be finished and also for a new shop front which hopefully we are getting next week! We are going to be so smart that we may have to overhaul ourselves as well to fit in.

We had a fantastic works 'do' at Walthamstow Dogs. Ruth kindly organised it for us, we went in a mini bus ( no expense spaired) and had the Deluxe menu.Ooooh dead posh.( Except the food was disgusting!!! Jamie Oliver go to the Dogs!!!) Its funny isn't it how when you all let your hair down everyones personality shows a bit more and suddenly I seemed to be surrounded by compulsive gamblers who had already studied the racing 'form'.The racing was really exciting I've never been to the races before where after the races the participants run round with their tales wagging sniffing each others bums, interesting? The dogs seem to really enjoy themselves which was a relief to all the animal lovers amongst us. My throat was raw from screaming at the doggies during the races ( really pointless as we where behind glass) but it WAS exciting. Ross was the biggest winner with £45 on a 50p bet, bastard! Justina won 5 times with her cool calm and collected way of betting. Raj should have been the biggest winner of the night with some unbelievably complicated system that he only actually won £7 on a £20 bet ( He is an accountant!) Everyone seemed to have a really good time and quite fantasticaly no one ended up crying into their Gin or being sick on the bus, so all in all a very successful evening.

Anyhoooo we had an exceptionaly busy Christmas so the break we had after was very welcome even though there was a huge amount of web orders to process when we returned!

I would like to take this oppurtunity to wish you, dear reader a very Happy New Year!
An Invitation.
29/11/2006
Estella
Last Sunday I had a very unexpected invitation from Designer Einhorn. He asked me to accompany him to lunch at an apparently fabulous hostelry which I believe has won some kind of Middle Class-Pub-Of-The-Year-Award. I was very pleased as he said his wife was away and he needed to get away from his work (which he is totally dedicated to and rarely has a break from).
Feeling slightly as if I was doing something a bit naughty, I went. My goodness me, we were disappointed! If this is the best you can get then the general public must have very low standards! Where, we wondered, had the Restaurant critic been eating, The Happy Eater? The service was appalling, we had to wait 40 minutes to be served our drinks in a half-empty restaurant. Einhorn confided in me that his own staff are positively angelic in their attentiveness to his customers, and I believe him. He has an extraordinary eye for detail and is always pushing his staff to ever higher standards of greatness. The food was really horrible and overpriced and we were very disappointed. What a shame! We won't be visiting again.

However, I sparkled in Einhorn's company. I do feel sorry for him. His wife is very well meaning but sometimes I think she doesn’t really understand him in the same way that I do. She doesn't have an artistic soul, and she can be ever so slightly 'drab'. (Although I am certainly not one to point these things out to a spouse). I feel I can say these things without causing offence however, as she is also technologically illiterate, so won't be reading this, and you won't tell will you?

Oh well. We strolled back to the workshop in a companionable silence both lost in our own thoughts… Did he keep his hand on my arm just a little too long...?

Well! I am certainly very very cross. Who the hell does Estella think she is? What a tart! What a slattern! All the hours we have spent together pouring over the accounts and I thought she was one of us. Part of our happy little band.

A member of my bookclub mentioned that she had been reading a 'blob' on our website and was quite disturbed by the fantastical musings of someone called Estella, and did I know about it? and... was I absolutely sure of my dear Einhorn’s fidelity?
I was quite taken aback as this was an aside whispered in my ear during a rather deep and detailed discussion of Northanger Abbey which we had all been reading. I have to admit my eyelids were beginning to droop slightly when my neighbour leant over and started muttering in my ear. I had absolutely no idea what she was talking about but nodded sagely. As I have done my 'First Stage Junior NVCQ Word Course’, when I got home I 'logged on' and read the Blog.

Drab! Technologically illiterate? No artistic soul? Has she not seen the delightful dried flower arrangements that adorn our living room? Does she not know that ALL of my clothes are from the most highly thought-of catalogues? And as for his hand lingering too long on her arm. I can tell you you all now that darling Einhorn has a slight middle ear problem due to excessive 'head banging' in his youth, and even now, copious Motor Bike riding, that every now and then feels himself a little dizzy, and needs to hold on to something quickly. Which is obviously what happened. I can reveal that since reading the blog relations between myself and Estella are very frosty indeed! Jane
Tea Wars.
13/11/2006
Estella
Yes we have tea wars! I believe tea has been a problem in the past, not only for us but for others (Boston Tea Party?) It can make enemies where there were once friends and it has been known to bring down governments.

The making and drinking of tea has to be strictly guarded as the rules of the ceremonies surronding tea drinking within our company have been strictly laid down in the company articles, any abuse could bring us down like a pack of cards! The rules of our company are that anyone, and I mean anyone, (this also includes The Overlord Einhorn) who wants a cup of tea has to make the rest of the workshop/design staff/press office/shop etc a cup of tea aswell.

Certain people have taken to making 'sneakys' and trying not to get caught, BUT they haven't reckoned on my bat-like hearing! I sit in the office and can hear the minute clink of teaspoon on china right through brick walls! As soon as I hear that noise, my radar is alerted - my huge ears have never let me down - I swoop and shame the guilty party. The rules WILL be kept! Oh the embarrassment of being caught!!!

I happen to think Tea is very important and the drinking of it should not be taken lightly. We have a new jeweller on the premises, a welcome addition to our team, however, when he presented me with a cup of hot water with milk in it I have to say his job DID hang in the balance. I had a quiet word with Sage Einhorn who advised strict tuition.

I took him into the kitchen and tutored him in the finer arts. Oh and I taught him how to make a really decent cup of tea.
So as I stalk the corridors of power, I rarely hear the clink of cups without someone shouting "Who wants a cup of tea?!"
Estella
First One!
09/11/2006
Estella
Oh my god!!!! Our patience has been sorely stretched over the last few months!
We have been desperately trying to go on trading (due to popular demand!) whilst at the same time having a complete renovation done on our Islington Shop and workshop. We have had 3 teams of builders on the premises all 'mixing it up' with each other, it has been total chaos.
Morale however in the workshop has been really good, we all have a definite touch of the Dunkirk spirit! No one has moaned or whined at sometimes very trying working conditions, especially when the air conditioning engineers were actually walking along the workbenches while people were trying to work! Now that's fortitude!

I am happy to report that no one has fallen down the hole in the floor that is supposed to be a staircase either, which is definitely a good thing, as my first aid skills will only stretch to a 'little hurty' healed with a kiss and a novelty plaster.

However I would also like to say that through all this you, our customers have been fantastic! We have had people come in to buy things who have had to climb over rubble to get to our packing room where we had temporarily set up shop. It was a really good boost to us to know that what we make is valued enough by you to put up with ridiculous shopping conditions in order to purchase something from us. So to the couple who came and bought their massive engagement rings from us on one of our worst building days, thank you, and we have now swept up the rubble that you had to stand on to choose your Diamonds.

I just want to let you know that I just received my wood geo elipse ring. The ring looks wonderful and fits nice. The only bad part is that the wedding isn't until February and I have to wait a few more months to wear it.

Thank you all very much for the wonderful job! The staff was extremely helpful and informative. They kept me informed throughout the entire process. Bravo!

Hi all,

Just to say thank you so much for the time and effort put into creating that absolutely beautiful ring. The whole process was so personal; and i came away with the most perfect ring i could have imagined. The materials are exquisite, let alone the pearl; which i cant take my eyes off.

Luckily she said yes (took the ring first though); so everyone’s happy. It really is gorgeous and Stephan is the only person that I am happy to see make her cry.

Wedding!!!??? Whoa, engagement!! Rest assured I’ll be back for that though. Maybe I’ll be lucky enough to get one next time.

Again, please extend my gratitude. I couldn't have done it without you (i wouldn't know where to get a pearl from anyway).
