Ring Size Guide
Getting the right fit matters - especially for a piece you'll wear every day. Here are a few tips for measuring accurately at home.
How to measure your ring size at home
1. Use a ring that already fits you. Find a ring in your collection that fits the finger you'll wear the new piece on. Try to pick one with a similar band width to the ring you're buying - a thick band and a thin band in the same size will feel different on the finger.
2. Wrap a thin strip of paper, or a length of string snuggly around your finger and mark it with a pen. Lay the strip flat, measure the length in millimetres, and match that to the size chart below.
Tips for the most accurate measurement
- Measure at the end of the day. Fingers tend to be slightly larger in the afternoon and evening when they're warmest.
- Keep your hands warm. Cold fingers shrink - measuring after being outside in the cold, after swimming, or after exercise will give a smaller reading than your true size.
- Don't forget your knuckle. The ring needs to slide over your knuckle comfortably. If your knuckle is noticeably larger than the base of your finger, go somewhere between the two measurements.
- Match the band width when measuring. A thick band fits tighter than a thin one at the same size.
- Measure the right finger. Fingers on your dominant hand are usually slightly larger than the same finger on the other hand.
