Stephen Einhorn at The Proms
Yes Von Einhorn and I went to the Proms. It was truly wonderful! We saw Shostakovich’s 5th Symphony in D Minor. As Einy (as I like to call him in our quiet moments) is such a gent he went and queued up for the gallery tickets while I wondered about the Albert Memorial, but I didn’t come to any conclusions…..We had a lovely evening, Einy even took off his shoes and wandered quietly around the big dome as the Orchestra played, I think he found the experience very inspiring! Anyone who says the Proms are elitist is a complete arse! You can stand in the arena or go up to the gallery for £5 and hear the best orchestras in the world. What could be better than that? I think people who say it’s elitist are merely patronising twerps!
