Handmade Cufflinks

Cufflinks made by hand in our own workshop at 210 Upper Street, Islington. Most jewellers have pieces made overseas; we make ours here. We make cufflinks to your design, from a family crest to a company logo, engrave them in the workshop, and make five pairs of our own in silver and gold: the small detail at the wrist that finishes a shirt. Five pairs of our own design, from our plainest pair to skulls with stone eyes, each made in sterling silver and, to order, in 9ct gold, with stones as an option on most. The Liquid, Skull and Inlaid Signet pairs are push-throughs. Every one is hallmarked.

Are cufflinks a good gift?

Yes, for someone who wears double-cuff shirts, or for a wedding, where the pair marks the day and is worn long after it. If he never wears double cuffs, a tie pin or a ring may suit him better. See our gifts for him.

How much do cufflinks cost?

Plated cufflinks cost under £100 and hallmarked silver from UK makers about £100 to £600. Our silver pairs start at £600, and cost more in 9ct gold or with stones. Our tie and lapel pins start at £265.

What are push-through cufflinks?

Cufflinks made in one solid piece: a face and a smaller foot joined by a fixed post, with no hinge or spring. You angle the foot through the cuff. Our Liquid, Skull and Inlaid Signet cufflinks are push-throughs.

Can you wear cufflinks with a normal shirt?

Only if the cuff has a hole on both sides. A standard button cuff does not; a double cuff or a convertible cuff does.

Which way round do cufflinks go?

The decorative face on the outside of the cuff, the foot on the inside, against the wrist.

Can you engrave cufflinks?

Yes. We engrave in our own workshop, on the face or on the foot. Initials and crests usually go on the face, a date or a private message on the foot, hidden in the cuff. Engraving is priced on our engraving page.

Can you make cufflinks to my design?

Yes. We make bespoke cufflinks from crests, logos, drawings and photographs in our workshop in Islington. Bring us an idea, however rough. See past bespoke cufflinks and how bespoke works.

When should I order cufflinks for a wedding?

Plain pairs take approximately four weeks to make and pairs set with stones four to six weeks. Order in good time, so they are ready well before the day, and call +44 20 7359 4977 before you order if the wedding is close.
