Posey Collection
Six lustrous Akoya pearls nestled around a rich, red ruby form the heart of each piece in our elegant Posey collection. Originally inspired by the ring we made for Cate Blanchett's wicked, and undeniably stylish, stepmother in Cinderella, this design became a mainstay of the Stephen Einhorn collection for its classic beauty and effortless elegance. Named for the two hands that hold the posy of flowers, and for the traditional posy rings that carried a lover's inscription inside the band, these pieces perfectly capture our modern classic aesthetic.
Concept & Inspiration
It all began with one ring. For Disney's Cinderella, Stephen designed the ring Cate Blanchett wears as Lady Tremaine: rose gold, a glowing ruby and creamy Akoya pearls, made to be seen in close-up on a hand that does a great deal of pointing. The ring was far too beautiful to make only once, and so the Posey Pearl Ring was born, followed by the necklace and earrings that grew from it.
Every detail carries meaning. The two hands cradling the flower setting are an age-old symbol of loyalty and the pledging of a vow. Turn any piece over and you will find a ruby set into the back, a secret known only to the wearer. The name is our nod to posy rings, the gold bands of the fifteenth to eighteenth centuries engraved inside with a short, private line for one person to read.
A ring for a promise
With its clasped hands and hidden ruby, the Posey Pearl Ring is a natural choice for an engagement, an anniversary or a promise of any kind. It is beautiful worn alone on the right hand, or on the left above a simple band. The necklace sits delicately at the collarbone, while the earrings catch the light from both sides, which is exactly what the stones on the back are for. Each piece is handmade to order in our Islington workshop in rose or yellow gold, 9ct or 18ct.
