Pearls

Pearl jewellery, being of a delicate nature, requires special care. Therefore it is important that you use the following care instructions:

• Don't leave your pearls in direct sunlight or dry heat. Pearls are sensitive to strong chemicals like hair sprays, deodorants & perfumes which can discolour them, so always put your pearls on last when dressing and take them off first when undressing.
• As a pearls surface is soft, store your pearl jewellery separately to other jewellery, and store it in its original packaging. Do not allow your pearls to get wet, as this will rot the thread and weaken it considerably.
• If your pearls are worn often you should return them to us to be professionally re-strung at least once a year. This does incur a restringing charge.

We encourage you to bring your jewellery back to us every year for professional servicing. Our Stephen Einhorn jewellers will take time and care to inspect your jewellery in order to determine the service that needs to be provided. If it is necessary you will receive an estimate. We will provide the service as soon as you validate the estimate.
