Jewellery Gifts for Her
Choosing jewellery for someone else takes nerve. Whether it's for your wife, your girlfriend, your mum or your oldest friend, a birthday, an anniversary or no reason at all, this page does the hard part. You don't need to know her taste. Look at what she already wears, pick the closest of the three below, and we'll walk you to one piece we'd stand behind: unusual, designer jewellery for her, in silver or gold, handmade in our London workshop, and easy to put right if the size isn't.
The fast path
Most gifted

If she wears simple pieces every day
Is she the classic kind?
Clean lines and solid metal she can wear every day without ceremony. If what she already wears is plain, small and always on, start here.
Our recommendation
Small Signet Ring
A signet is the classic that never reads as safe. Have her initials engraved on the top and it stops being a ring and becomes hers: a smaller, subtler take on a design we have been making for thirty years.

If she wears things people notice
More drawn to bold?
Sculptural pieces with a point of view: luxury jewellery gifts for the woman whose taste other people ask about. If what she wears gets comments, start here.
Our recommendation
Bardot Ring
A hand-cut amethyst in solid silver. It is named after Bardot for a reason: elegant, certain, impossible to ignore. If she is going to own one signature piece, this is built to be it.

If she wears pieces with a story
Or is she sentimental at heart?
Creatures and keepsakes for a chain she already loves. If what she wears was given to her, or means something, start here.
Our recommendation
Hummingbird Charm
Hang it on the chain she already wears and it joins her story rather than interrupting it. Add a date to the back and it is a keepsake, not a purchase.

The same rule holds whoever she is: buy for who she is, not the occasion. But if the relationship is where you're starting, start here.
For mum
Jewellery gifts for mum work best when they carry something: a heart, a pearl, a charm with a date on the back. She'll wear it to everything and tell everyone who gave it. Sentimental wins here, every time.

For your wife
She has jewellery. What she doesn't have is the piece you chose because you noticed. Jewellery gifts for your wife should be the signature piece: one ring or bangle with real weight that becomes hers.

For your girlfriend
Serious without being a question. Jewellery for your girlfriend should be modern, solid silver she can wear every day, and nothing that looks like a proposal unless it is one.

For your daughter
Her first proper piece, made to still be hers at forty. Real silver, real pearls, engraved with the year. Jewellery gifts for your daughter are the ones she keeps.

Anniversary jewellery gifts and Christmas gifts: is this the right page?
Any piece here suits any occasion; what changes is the engraving and the deadline. For Christmas, see our Christmas jewellery gifts and order made-to-order pieces by late November. For anniversary jewellery gifts, engrave the date on the inside of a ring or the back of a bracelet; the ID Engravable Bracelet was made for exactly this.
