Jewellery Gifts for Him

Choosing jewellery for a man is easier than it looks. Most men own one or two pieces and wear them every day, so the gift that works is the one that fits what he already has on: a bracelet if he wears nothing, a ring if he wears a bracelet or a watch, a chain if he wears both. These are our jewellery gifts for men, designed and made in our London workshop in solid silver, gold and platinum. Start with the piece, and we'll walk you to one we'd stand behind, with his size sorted either way.

Bracelet gifts for him

The most-gifted piece for men, and the safest: most of ours adjust or come in three sizes, so his wrist isn't a guess. Leather for the man who has never worn jewellery, solid silver for the one who has.

Heavy Link Bracelet, made in our London workshop

The one we'd choose

Heavy Link Bracelet

Solid silver links with real weight, made by hand in Islington. It's the bracelet men buy for themselves once they've been given one, which is the best test a gift can pass. Three sizes, and we'll swap it if his wrist says otherwise.

Ring gifts for him

A ring is the gift he'll still be wearing in twenty years, and the one people hesitate over because of the size. Don't. Guess from a ring he owns, or order and exchange; how to do both is further down the page.

Signet Ring, made in our London workshop

The one we'd choose

Signet Ring

The men's signet has come back and ours never left: an oval face in solid silver or gold, made here for thirty years. Have his initials cut into the top and it stops being a ring and becomes his. If the size is wrong, we resize it.

If he wears one thing under his shirt

Necklace gifts for him

The piece men ask for most at 18 and 21, and the one with no size to get wrong: 50cm sits at the collarbone on almost everyone. A cross, a signet on a chain, or a pendant with something to say.

Cross Leather Necklace, made in our London workshop

The one we'd choose

Cross Leather Necklace

A silver cross on a leather cord: the necklace most often sent as a gift to a man from this site, because it suits the ones who have never worn a chain. No size, no clasp to fumble, and it goes under a shirt or over a T-shirt.

Earrings, cufflinks, tie and lapel pins

The rest of what men are given from here. Earrings are a bigger gift than people expect; a single stud is the usual first one.

Personalised

Personalised jewellery for him

Almost everything we make can be engraved by hand in our workshop: his initials on the face of a signet, a date inside a ring, the children's names along an ID bracelet, a line only he'll understand under a pair of cufflinks. From (£X, confirm) a letter. Engraved pieces can't be returned, so if you're unsure of his size, order it plain and we'll engrave it together afterwards.

An heirloom: a signet inlaid with hand-cut stone, made to be handed on.

Anniversary jewellery for him

Anniversary jewellery for him

Men's anniversary rings are what we're asked for most on these dates: a second ring worn next to the wedding band, or the ring he never had. Paper, wood and tin have their years. Silver is the 25th, and silver is ours.

His size, without asking him

Size is the reason people hesitate to buy jewellery for a man. Here's how to get it without him knowing, and what happens if it's still wrong.

His ring size, without him knowing

Borrow a ring he wears on that finger for an hour and measure the inside across with a ruler, press it into a bar of soap, or photograph it on a ruler and send it to us; we'll tell you the UK size. Most men fall between R and V. Order the nearest and we'll exchange it if it isn't right. (Confirm: free, or customer pays return postage.)

What size bracelet for a man

Most men's wrists are 17 to 19cm around. Our silver bracelets and bangles come in three sizes and the leather ones adjust, so a medium is right for most men. If it isn't, return it unworn within 14 days and we'll exchange it.

What necklace length for a man

50cm sits at the collarbone under a shirt on almost everyone. 45cm sits higher; 60cm lower, for a pendant over a T-shirt. Choose wrong and a chain can be shortened afterwards.

The heartbreak heart: a hand-painted plaster heart they have to break open to reach the piece

The giving

Jewellery gift box for him: a heart he has to break

Every piece arrives in a Stephen Einhorn box. For the ones that should be remembered, we wrap the piece in soft cloth and seal it inside a plaster heart, hand painted in the colour you choose. To get to it, he has to crack it open. (Price, confirm.)

Over the last four years I have bought several pieces from the men's collection for my husband's birthdays: an arrowhead necklace, an arrowhead bracelet and more recently a lapis lazuli signet ring. My very difficult to buy for husband has loved every single piece, wears them daily and is often complimented.

Annette Olofsson, Google review, June 2026

I bought a beautiful silver bracelet from the Stephen Einhorn collection for my husband's birthday. It is superbly made and brilliantly designed, elegant and understated. Thank you!

Niall Stewart, Google review, February 2026

I asked if the ring could be made so I received it before my husband's birthday. I got a call to say it would be sent out earlier. The fit was also spot on, considering my husband has a shattered knuckle. We didn't even have to visit the store for measurements.

Gift questions

What jewellery do men actually wear?

From what men are given from this site: bracelets first (35% of men's gifts), then rings (31%), then necklaces (18%), then a single earring. Start with the piece he doesn't have yet. If he wears nothing, a bracelet; if he wears a bracelet or a watch, a ring; if he wears both, a chain.

Is jewellery a good gift for a man?

It's the gift he'll still be using in ten years. A men's piece is on 43% of the orders from this site, and a quarter of those are being sent to someone else. Pick something solid, in silver or gold, that matches what he already wears, and it gets worn every day.

How do I find his ring size without him knowing?

Borrow a ring he wears on that finger and measure the inside across with a ruler, press it into a bar of soap, or photograph it on a ruler and send it to us; we'll tell you the UK size. Most men fall between R and V. If you can't get near a ring, order the nearest guess: an unworn ring can be exchanged for the right size within 14 days. (Confirm: free, or customer pays return postage.)

What size bracelet should I buy for a man?

A medium fits most men: wrists run 17 to 19cm around. Our silver bracelets and bangles come in three sizes and the leather ones adjust. If it's wrong, exchange it unworn within 14 days.

What length necklace for a man?

50cm is the safe length: it sits at the collarbone and goes under a shirt. 45cm sits higher; 60cm lower, for a pendant over a T-shirt. If you choose wrong, a chain can be shortened.

Can I have it engraved?

Yes, by hand in our workshop: initials on a signet, a date inside a ring, names along an ID bracelet, a line under cufflinks. Engraving adds (X days, confirm) and engraved pieces can't be returned, so if you're unsure of his size, order it plain and we'll engrave it afterwards.

What if it doesn't fit, or he doesn't like it?

Return it unworn, in its packaging, within 14 days of delivery for an exchange, credit note or refund. Engraved and bespoke pieces can't come back. Size is the usual reason, and that's a straight exchange.

Will it arrive in time for his birthday, Father's Day or Christmas?

Ready-to-ship pieces leave the London workshop within days; made-to-order and engraved pieces take up to 4 weeks. Buying against a date? Call +44 20 7359 4977 before you order and we'll tell you honestly. Christmas last-order dates are on our Christmas jewellery gift guide.
