Marange Diamonds
It has come to our attention that diamonds from the Marange field in Zimbabwe are now coming onto the market. There are approximately 900,000 carats of rough diamonds. We are seeking written assurances from all our suppliers that they will not be trading in these diamonds and have already received very strong verbal assurances that they won’t. If they did we would no longer trade with them. It is actually illegal for the US, EU or UK citizens or entities to knowingly trade in these diamonds as the respective governments have sanctions against the companies owning or selling them.
We take the provenance of all the materials we use very seriously and continue to strive to use only ethical products. There is a lot of information regarding the Marange diamonds situation available on the internet and if you, our customers, are interested please do read about it. Thank you.
