Fantastic Video – Dark Side of The Lens by Astray Films
A fantastic video with some of the most stunning cinematography I’ve seen in a short film. Everything has been done by one man, including the music – making it an incredible achievement. The one minus for me is the voiceover – a constant dialogue that shifts the focus away from the subject matter and attempts to turn it around completely. While some lines do hold an element of poetry, most of it seems very self congratulatory. It’s a great short, but it would have been better without the filmmaker shouting, “I’m different and special!” over the top.
