Laura Wade wins Olivier Award wearing Stephen Einhorn jewellery
We are very excited that Laura Wade, an incredibly talented playwright has won the prestigious Olivier Award for best new comedy with Home, I’m Darling. We were extremely flattered that she chose to wear our jewellery for the big night. Obviously it brought her luck, and her award is nothing to do with how enormously talented she is. We’ve seen the play and it’s brilliant.
What was Laura Wade wearing for the 2019 Olivier Awards?
Laura Wade was wearing our Flame ring, a dress ring and one of our more exotic fine jewellery designs. A vibrant 5.95ct concave cut madeira citrine sits on a central piece of 18ct rose gold. These are both held delicately together by two halves of 18ct white gold. The flame design is encrusted with 255 pavé set rubies and 30 pavé set orange sapphires. It’s an exquisitely crafted, contemporary ring that exudes beautiful warmth and a fabulous sparkle.
Laura was also wearing pieces from our Raspberry Heart fine jewellery collection; a pair of Raspberry Heart earrings and a necklace in yellow gold and diamonds. Our Raspberry Heart collection is another exquisitely crafted range. We believe in attention to detail, with this in mind Stephen designed a delicate filigree pattern on the back of each heart, they are as beautiful on the back as they are on the front. Each heart has 33 pavé set brilliant cut stones and is handmade in our London workshop by our highly-skilled jewellers.
What are the Olivier Awards?
Established in 1976, the Olivier Awards celebrate the world-class status of London theatre, and are Britain’s most prestigious stage honours. Laurence Olivier (1907-1989) was an actor, director and founder of the National Theatre Company and in 1984 Olivier agreed to give his name to the awards.
