Family Platinum Diamond Engagement Ring on 18ct Yellow Gold Band

This engagement ring originates from a platinum family heirloom used for a proposal, featuring a cherished setting originally mounted on a very fine, worn band. The design was carefully reimagined to preserve the sentiment and integrity of the original piece while making it more suitable for everyday wear.

The original diamonds were retained, and the platinum from the heirloom ring was melted down to create new hand-made collets. These were then set into a warm 18ct yellow gold band, maintaining a direct connection to the original ring while giving it a stronger, more contemporary form.
